Ruma Rima and Ruma Whitu had a fabulous time staying on and learning about the Arahura Marae, its history through carvings on the whare walls, the special place and significance of pounamu at the Arahura River and some place based learning around the history connecting two carvings and Lake Mahinapua. Thank you to Jerry who captivated the children with his knowledge and stories. Also to all the parents and teachers who help us at camp. Nga mihi nui.
What a fabulous record of your noho marae. You clearly had a great time. The beach sculptures and craft activites looked very interesting.

ReplyDeleteYour camp looks very different to ours. On our last day we went on the bus to the pools and it was fun, we got to do anything when we where at the pools. What was your favourite thing when you went to camp ?

On our camp we went to the pools and we rode our school bikes the round the school. How long were you on camp? We had 3 days on the school field with our teachers.
